Hazel grouse form Bialowieza Forest

Hazel grouse (Bonasa bonasia) is frequently breeding in the Bialowieza Forest (1600 pairs). In recent days, is a very intense display. I managed to record a male when he whistled. I take a picture of both male and female.

Trumpeting call of cranes form Bialowieza Forest

More rarely we can hear trumpeting call of cranes in Bialowieza Forest. It is end of longer period of mating, and they will soon start brooding eggs. They will have to feed in the meadows, but much more they can be found in the Bialowieza Forest alder type of forest.

Observation tower on the Kosy Most reopened :)

One of the Bialowieza attractions was rebuilt 🙂 Demolished a few years ago the tower in Kosy Most was finally rebuilt. This is a great place to observe the Bialowieza animals, but also delicious to photograph sunrises.
